We were hoping to bring in the new year with my Mom - since she IS a New Years Eve Baby....but given the current road conditions , we reconsidered.
Luckily, she came to visit earlier this week with my Dad before the big storm hit. Since my Dad and Jas had to work, the kids and I took her over to Thermopolis. We had so much fun swimming at the "Hot Pots" and eating out at A&W. 
It was a balmy day for December, about 40 degrees. But a nice breeze kept us cool and kept the lovely sulphur smell to a tolerable level.
After swimming we had fun walking along a winding boardwalk around the natural springs then drove to Hot Springs State Park to search for roaming buffalo (which we found....they are so BIG).
