We were planning on cutting our Christmas tree yesterday, but once we made it to the Louis Lake turn off we noticed the 4 feet of snow and the closure of the road. Ugh. Wasn't a problem for the 6-7 groups of snowmobilers that were there. But not good for us. Since it was so late in the day we called it quits.
We tried again today, just up Sinks canyon and found a nice area of trees that weren't too close to the road or trails. Jason cut a second one for his office (which was HUGE). Turned out to be a nice warm day to be outside. Although, I'm seriously considering a fake tree for next year.
This weekend the kids were able to see Santa at the "Light up Lander" night. OF COURSE my battery worked for Jackson's first visit with Santa, but as soon as Kaycee's turn came around, the battery totally died. Why does that always happen after waiting in line for a huge amount of time and the pressure is on to get a good picture?? Oh well.
Now that we have our tree all trimmed and our lights up, it officially feels like Christmas. We're just hoping that bo doesn't use the tree as a chew toy for the next month. :D
