H&W cont'd

We felt like we had Halloween twice this year, which was SWEET....literally.
The kids had their school parties and main street trick-or-treating on Friday. Then we hit the neighborhoods again on Sunday night.
Jackson was brushing up on his Superman facts before going to school.
This year, Kaycee was out walking all of us in the neighborhoods. Last year I was dragging her along and this year it was just the opposite!

Our pumpkin patch jack-o-lanterns. Jason helped Jackson out with his carving. He said it was "too damn tough to saw".

The kids with some friends they found on Main Street. We had such a blast this year.

Fall Field Trip

I was able to go with Kaycee's second grade class on a field trip last week.
We went to Miller Pond which is only about 2 miles away from Kaycee's school.
The kids did a great job sketching out the fall surroundings. Here's Kaycee's friend Emily getting to work.Ms. Meredith (Kaycee's teacher) and friend Shelli Chance.

Kaycee had fun drawing at the station Shelli and I were in charge of. Although I didn't see any bears, she threw a couple into her sketch. I think we were lucky to have such a nice fall day. Usually, we are covered in snow by this time of year. Was so funny to see all the different sketches and hang out w/the kids for an afternoon.

PuN~kInS!

While Jason was out hunting deer, we went hunting for pumpkins yesterday!
We had fun treking around the patch picking out the ones we liked best.

We were able to hook up w/Jodi & her family after awhile. Would have been sooner than later if I hadn't left my goofy cell phone at home. Only when I REALLY need it, do I forget it!

So, we were there most of the day (4 hours), but was worth it when Riley's Grandpa Graham took us through the HUGE corn maze. Only took us about 20 minutes to get through it...even if we did exit from the entrance. Shhhhh.

But, we had a great time & found some cute pumpkins. Love this time of year!!

Hunter's Widow Week

Jason was able to take the entire week off from work so he could go hunting near Jackson, WY.

He and his friend Jim packed up the horses and mules and camped 15 miles into the wilderness for 8 days and 7 nights.

The weather was so nice, it didn't make for the best hunting conditions.

But they had plenty of scenery to soak up along the way.

Too bad we had school, soccer and swimming. We want to go next year!

More Little Bits

Jackson started his second year at Little Bits pre-school this morning. He was a VERY BIG BOY about the entire event. He picked out his entire outfit (notice Spiderman & the silver lazer attached to his pants belt loop) and was very excied to inform Ms. Jenny that he turned FOUR over the summer. Now he's one of the big kids.

He was also happy to reunite with his cute little friend, Hailey who he hasn't seen all summer. No tears, no anxiety. Just a "By Mom". Looks like our little guy is ready to get back to class. Yay!
