Deja Vu

This started on Sunday and didn't quit until this morning......I'm feeling a little deja vu from last year. At least we didn't loose as many branches. Still.....was hoping for a long warm fall before I had to crack out the gloves, hats, snowboots and snow shovel! As much as I love to complain, it was beautiful this morning with the clear blue sky against all that white crap.

Girlie Day!

I couldn't miss Shaunel's baby shower this weekend, so I snuck away to SLC. The shower was great and Shaunel looks so CUTE! All glowing and all tummy. My #%$! camera battery died.. so I couldn't take any pic's, but my Mom had her phone and got a shot for us. I don't think their little "peanut" will be needing much because she was definitely "showered" with a lot of fabulous gifts!! We are so excited for John and Shaunel and can't wait to meet their "little peanut" later on this month!

Since Heidi and I didn't get into the St. George marathon this year, we ran on the pipeline trail up Millcreek canyon Saturday morning before the baby shower. I didn't feel so bad about missing out on St. George after that. The fall leaves were gorgeous! Heidi wasn't too thrilled about the gigantic and hairy wolf spider we ran into, especially when I started nudging it with my shoe to see if it was dead or alive (it was VERY alive). Ha. Anyhoo... was a fun Girlie Day and I made it home before the huge snow storm hit (currently looking out at 2 inches of snow which is still falling and dead branches everywhere.... boo hoo....).

Mother goose?

The kids have been busy with Jason doing all kinds of fun things so I can have some "sanity-time" all to myself. Yesterday, they shot this goose out on the ranch. Can you see the excitement in Jackson's face??? I don't think it bothers him at all that Dad just shot "Mother (or is it Father) Goose".

They also were able to go Antelope hunting with Uncle John and Grandpa Gerald in Kemmerer. I heard that they were VERY disappointed that John didn't get one while they were with him. They did however find some "treasures" while hiking around

Bengals

Tuesday was Peyton's last football game so the kids and I drove out to Riverton to see it. It was heeeeelarious to watch those adorable boys tackle into each other with all they had. Peyton and his team were really good too! I think they know more about football than I do.... which...I know... isn't saying much.

Little Bits

Sooooo.... Jackson started "Little Bits" Pre-School today! I have to admit, I was a little worried. Didn't dare leave my cell phone for the entire 3 hours (carried it with me even when I went running) just in case. But - the report I received from Mrs. Jenny indicated that he had a fantastic time and did very well. Yay! He was SO EXCITED this morning too. No tears, no sad face leaving me... just a little kiss and a "C-Ya". I am a bit proud of my little monster! Hopefully, he keeps it up.

Rendezvous

Went to the Fort Bridger Rendezvous on Sunday. Was perfect weather and had fun checking out all the cool stuff for sale. Jackson picked out a hatchet and sword while Kaycee picked out a treasure chest with a little mirror to put into it. Is so fun just to "people watch" at that rendezvous! You never know what you are going to see.

Football

We snuck out of town to make it to the Utah game on Thrusday night - one of the things we miss about SLC! Had so much fun!! Kaycee didn't really enjoy herself until the second half when she got to sit by Granny, Grandpa, John & Shaunel.
We bumped into Spence and Amber after the game and the kids had fun sprinting accross the end zone with Easton and Camden. Those boys are too damn adorable!

Thanks again for the tickets Granny and Grandpa!! Go Utes!!
