Nice Catch!

Jason took the kids to Lucky Pond on Saturday morning while I went for a run. There was still ice on 3/4 of the pond, but they found a good spot. Kaycee caught this nice rainbow. Which we ate for breakfast this morning... was yummie. Jackson was so excited she caught it, he was screaming "Yeah Kaycee, Yeah Kaycee, that's AWESOME... YEAH KAYCEE". Was a great day to get out... almost 70 DEGREES! We are sporting some nice farmer tans today. Now, for more snow tomorrow........

Snowmen!

We FINALLY made our Snowman....YAY! First time this season, with the lack of snow and all. Kaycee did all the decorating, and Jackson had fun helping Jason roll up the gigantic snowballs. Think we cleaned up a bit of dog poop in the process too..... should be interesting to see what is left behind after he melts... yukkie. :0)

Happy Birthday Jas!

We took a quick trip to SLC for Jason's Birthday this weekend. He's a whopping 35 years old! The gals from his office gave him some fun balloons and the cute "boot full of flowers". Too funny! The flowers still look great and it's almost been an entire week. We ate some yummie LaFrontera before going to the last UofU basketball game on Saturday, then "high-tailed" it home to beat the big storm. Was great to see everyone, even if it was a short trip. We were especially glad that the tire on our truck didn't fall off! On the way to SLC on Friday, the truck really started shaking near Echo Lake. We pulled over and saw that the back tire was almost completely off! Four of the bolts (and the screws that held them on) had completely broken off. Luckily, we were able to cinch down the other four bolts and make it home okay. Not sure all the traffic behind us appreciated our 55 miles per hour, but we made it. So crazy!!

Out Riding...

John came up to visit us this weekend. I don't know who was more excited... the kids or Jason. Kaycee and Jackson had a BLAST terrorizing John and swimming with him at the "Hot Pots" in Thermopolis. And Jason had a blast riding with him out at "Johnny behind the Rocks". Thanks for coming up Uncle John!!!

Seeds...

Since Kaycee and I killed the plant she brought home from school last month (we forgot to water the poor little thing) we planted some flower seeds last week in this snazzy "self watering" pot. Seems to have worked, the sprouts peeked out today. She was so excited!!! Now as long as we can remember to water it every week, we should keep it alive... ha. Will post more pic's as it grows.
We went for a little hike to "The Bus" on Sunday just about 5 miles from our place. Was a great day to get outside for a little picnic! I think we have a little spring fever already.

Dubois & Castle Gardens

Jackson and I made a trip up to Dubois last week. We checked out the Big Horn Sheep Museum (he's looking at an exhibit comparing human eyesight w/a Big Horn Sheep's. They see 7 times better than humans). His favorite part of the trip was riding the local Jackalope! On Sunday, we all headed out to a neat place near Riverton called "Castle Gardens". We had fun hiking around and checking out the petroglyphs. Still feels like March/April around here. It's Madness!
